“Never Too Early for Art”

It took a while before Mayra and I had the courage and confidence of calling ourselves “Artists”.  Our baptism into the world of art was gradual.  After many paintings, drawings and tearing up of bad first attempts at art, we slowly learned how to be artists and most importantly how to appreciate the world of art.  Although we may never be as famous as the great impressionists that we admire so much, it became more and more possible for us to be a small part of that world of artistic revolutions the impressionists and post impressionists passionately started.
         
Our grandchildren may not become artists but they will learn from us what a paint brush is and how important it is to appreciate what you see and experience in ones adventures through life. 
         
Exhibiting our works and interacting with other artists has been so inspiring and for filling for us. A budding artist, no matter what age, can create then hide their work in a dark closet then why bother painting at all?  Art is like speaking or writing a letter, it is like talking on a cell phone, it is communication.  Artists communicate ideas abstract or in some cases photographically to the world around them.  At times the messages are hidden or may not be interpreted for years to come by generations not yet born.
